PLANTS
Plants are living things, so they carry out the three life processes:
  • nutrition
  • interaction
  • reproduction

We can classify plants intro three groups:
  • grasses
  • bushes
  • trees

We can see three different parts on a plant:

Flowers are the reproductive organs of a plant. They contain:
  • stamens: they produce pollen.
  • carpel: the seeds develope into the carpel. The carpel grows into a fruit.
  • petals: they protect the stamens and carpel. They are coloured.
  • sepals: they protect the petals.

Fruits are the part of the plant that develope from the flower. The fruit contains the seeds of the plant.
It covers and protects the seeds. A fruit can have fleshy or dry tissue.

Seeds are inside the fruit. Fruits can have:
  • only one seed called stone.
  • several seeds that can be soft or hard.

Plants life cycle. Plants need water, sunligh, air and minerals from the soil to grow.
