PLANTS
Plants are living things, so they carry out the three life processes:- nutrition
- interaction
- reproduction
We can see three different parts on a plant:
Flowers are the reproductive organs of a plant. They contain:
- stamens: they produce pollen.
- carpel: the seeds develope into the carpel. The carpel grows into a fruit.
- petals: they protect the stamens and carpel. They are coloured.
- sepals: they protect the petals.
Fruits are the part of the plant that develope from the flower. The fruit contains the seeds of the plant.
It covers and protects the seeds. A fruit can have fleshy or dry tissue.
Seeds are inside the fruit. Fruits can have:
- only one seed called stone.
- several seeds that can be soft or hard.
