THE MOON

The Moon is the Earth´s satellite. It orbits the Earth and takes 28 days to do it. It has no atmosphere or water.

We can only see the part of the Moon that is illuminated by the Sun. This is why the Moon seems to change shape at different times of the month. These different shapes are called the phases of the Moon.
